About the Event
Aso Rock Festival began in 2015 with Shigeru Izumiya as its founder, and he stepped down from that role in 2021. After repeated discussions with local people and staff about how to continue the event he created, the team decided to build it themselves rather than bring in a new organizer. It was scheduled for Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1 this year. Returning after two years, it attracted a large and enthusiastic audience.
