NovaStar TB50

The TB50 is NovaStar's new-generation multimedia player for full-color LED displays. Combining playback and sending functions, it allows content distribution and display control from PCs, smartphones, tablets and other devices. Cloud publishing and monitoring support simplify remote management of large, geographically distributed screen groups.
The TB50 supports synchronized multi-screen playback and both synchronous and asynchronous modes to meet varied playback requirements.
With security, stability, ease of operation and intelligent management, the TB50 is suitable for LED commercial displays and smart-city applications, including fixed installations, streetlight-pole screens, chain-store displays, digital signage, retail screens, storefront signs and shelf displays.
Output
Maximum load: 1.3 million pixels; maximum width: 4096, maximum height: 4096. Custom non-standard resolutions are supported in synchronous/asynchronous modes. All custom resolutions must have a pixel clock no greater than 153MHz.
Two Gigabit LED output LAN ports: two main outputs by default; configurable as one main plus one backup.
• 1 × stereo audio output; fixed 48kHz audio sampling rate. When using a Nova multifunction card for audio output, use audio sampled at 48kHz.
• 1 HDMI 1.3 output: up to 1920 × 1200 @ 60Hz; supports HDMI loop output.
Input
One HDMI 1.3 input for synchronous mode; automatically fits incoming video to the full screen.
• 2 × sensor interfaces for brightness sensors or temperature/humidity sensors.
Control
• 1 USB 3.0 Type-A port: supports content playback, firmware upgrades and storage expansion via USB drives.
1×USB Type B port: directly connect a host PC to the device for content distribution and display control.
One Gigabit LAN port: connects directly to a host PC or connects the device to a LAN/internet for program publishing and display control.
Performance
• High-performance processing: quad-core A55 ARM processor at 1.8GHz; 4K video decoding; 1GB RAM; 32GB internal storage.
Playback performance: simultaneously plays 1×4K, 2×1080p, 4×720p, 4×480p or 6×360p videos.
Notes: 4K playback supports only H.264, H.265/HEVC and VP9. Videos between 2K and 4K are all processed as 4K formats.
Features

Dual Wi-Fi modes: AP mode connects user devices to the built-in hotspot. Default SSID is model name plus the last 8 serial-number digits; see the device SSID label for the password. AP+Sta mode supports a Wi-Fi connection and wireless hotspot simultaneously.
Synchronous/asynchronous dual modes: asynchronous uses internal video sources; synchronous uses the HDMI input source.
• Multi-screen synchronized playback: enabling synchronization halves the number of simultaneously playable videos within the device’s decoding capacity. Supports NTP synchronization, GPS synchronization (specified 4G module required) and RF wireless synchronization (specified RF module required).
• 4G module support: the module is not included as standard and can be purchased separately. Network priority: wired > Wi-Fi > 4G. Where multiple connections are present, the highest-priority connection is selected automatically.
