About the Event
On the 27th, musician Tetsuya Komuro (65) performed a new song live in Nagasaki at the unveiling of “Eternal Mount Fuji,” his collaboration with Cao Yagang and Japan's largest ink painting. A surprise celebration marked Komuro's 65th birthday that day.
Cao's Eternal Mount Fuji, measuring 3.65m high and 9.2m wide, was unveiled that day. Komuro said he was most struck that Cao, who grew up in a country with such a long history, was moved by Mount Fuji, a symbol of Japan that has embraced so much. He expressed gratitude for that attention.
